Meditation for Christians - Day 7
Psalm 23
"He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake."
The Path of Light
When we know Him, we walk in the comfort of being led by one who would never see us lost again.
John 10:3-5, 27-30
“...He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will flee from him because they do not recognize his voice.”
“My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
Exercise for Day 7
Consider in what ways you are walking in the light... down paths of righteousness. Think about how His Grace has fulfilled this in you, not your own good works. Ask Him to lead you even further, for every step in the light is a glory to His name!
John 1:5-10
And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
